STEYR. Neu in Steyr – sei es aus dem Ausland oder aus einer anderen Region Österreichs? Dann bietet sich am 7. Mai 2026, ab 18:00 Uhr, eine ideale Gelegenheit, neue Kontakte zu knüpfen: Mit dem „International Pub Quiz“ lädt das Netzwerk Zukunftsregion Steyr gemeinsam mit Come2Upper Austria, einer Initiative der Business Upper Austria – OÖ Wirtschaftsagentur GmbH, zu einem offenen und geselligen Abend ein.
Veranstaltungsort ist das Hotel-Restaurant Minichmayr, das den passenden Rahmen für Austausch, Begegnung und gemeinsames Rätseln bietet.
Das Pub Quiz findet in englischer Sprache statt. In mehreren unterhaltsamen Quizrunden stehen neben Wissen und Teamgeist vor allem das Kennenlernen und Vernetzen in entspannter Atmosphäre im Mittelpunkt. Das Angebot richtet sich gezielt an Menschen, die neu in der Region sind – unabhängig davon, ob sie aus dem Ausland oder aus Österreich zugezogen sind – sowie an internationale Fachkräfte und Studierende.
Ob im eigenen Team oder gemeinsam mit anderen vor Ort: Mitmachen ist unkompliziert und ausdrücklich erwünscht.
Für einen gelungenen Einstieg ist gesorgt: Das erste Getränk sowie Snacks während des Quiz sind inkludiert – ideale Voraussetzungen, um rasch ins Gespräch zu kommen.

Mit dem International Pub Quiz schaffen wir einen gemütlichen Rahmen, um miteinander ins Gespräch zu kommen und Steyr von seiner offenen Seite kennenzulernen“, betont Daniela Zeiner vom Netzwerk Zukunftsregion Steyr, die mit dem neuen Format gemeinsam mit der Business Upper Austria ein klares Zeichen für gelebte Willkommenskultur setzen möchte.

Have you recently moved to Steyr—whether from abroad or another region of Austria? On May 7, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM, there’s a perfect opportunity to meet new people: the International Pub Quiz. Organized by the Zukunftsregion Steyr network in cooperation with Come2Upper Austria, an initiative of Business Upper Austria – OÖ Wirtschaftsagentur GmbH, the event invites participants to an open and sociable evening.
The venue is the Hotel-Restaurant Minichmayr, providing the perfect setting to meet new people, connect, and enjoy a fun quiz together.
The quiz will be held in English and features several entertaining rounds. While knowledge and teamwork are part of the game, the main focus is on getting to know each other and building connections in a relaxed atmosphere. The event is specifically aimed at people who are new to the region—whether from abroad or other parts of Austria—as well as international professionals and students.
You can join with your own team or team up with others on site—participation is easy and warmly encouraged. A great start is guaranteed: the first drink and snacks during the quiz are included, creating the perfect environment to strike up conversations.
“Especially for people who are new to the region, it’s important to quickly feel connected. With the International Pub Quiz, we are creating a welcoming and relaxed space to meet others and experience Steyr as an open and inclusive city,” says Daniela Zeiner from the Zukunftsregion Steyr network. With this new format, developed together with Business Upper Austria, the initiative aims to actively promote a strong culture of welcome.
